Ryan Elwood is a drummer
and drum instructor.
From a young age, he realized that music is about connection. Since starting his career in 2000, Ryan has become one of Colorado’s most in-demand sidemen, playing multiple musical styles.
Whether locking in the groove on stage with artists like Jenny Shawhan and Eric Golden or tracking drums remotely from his home studio, Ryan lives for the collaborative spark. He is a fixture at Denver recording hubs including Widget Studios, The Keep Recording, and Mighty Fine Productions, bringing over two decades of experience to every session.
However, performing and recording are only part of the job. Ryan is also an enthusiastic educator who helps students of all skill levels improve their technique, creativity, and confidence.
